Mira Loma Warehouse Project
Michael Hendrix performed an air quality analysis for a logistics warehouse facility in Mira Loma CA that consisted of three warehouses with loading docks and trailer storage. The three warehouse buildings totaled 2,500,000 square feet of gross building space and was in close proximity to residential land uses. Michael performed an air toxic analysis of diesel particulate matter (DPM) using the US EPA AERMOD dispersion model to determine the concentrations of pollutants and resulting health risks to workers and the surrounding community.
As a result, two of the warehouses were repositioned to move the loading docks and truck routes away from residential land uses and schools, providing a safer project that did not affect operational conditions or logistics capacity.
